Concept: Introduction
In India, drop out ratio of school going children up to 10th class is about 20%. These are all from underprivileged society.
Some of the reasons why students are dropping out from school are …..
- As most of the families are living in below poverty, they cannot afford their education and study.
- They are forced to work for agricultural or domestic services.
- These 10th class students even cannot read the books of 7th class as these students are not focusing on their homework self-study on their own at home after coming from the school.
- Even their parents do not pay any attention and care for their homework and study.
To tackle the situation Pitaji foundation has launched the Mission “Edu-Reach” which means Education should reach for poor and under privileged students from slums and villages.
- Under this Mission Edu-Reach, Pitaji Foundation advise local leaders or mentors to gather 30 to 40 such students in their locality. For these students, Self-study class is organised at common place.
